Running radiant lines
I did radiant lines, which are heating lines that run under a floor to heat it more evenly, unlike a more traditional way of heating a building like baseboard. You install it with a few fairly easy but very repetitive tasks. First you put up radiant track (the aluminum the pipe is sitting in shown below). Then you drill a hole at the end of each floor joist to run the pipe through. Then you run a loop of pipe down each bay (roughly 5-7 bays for each loop). It’s a little more complex than that but that roughly explains it. Overall I would say that this project was a good learning experience. I learned how to install it, the plumbing code behind it, and the amount of planning that needs to go into a project like this.
